The opening of the new softball fields has been postponed one week to allow for construction to be completed on the concession stand and restrooms. Opening ceremonies will now take place on April 20th, not April 13th as originally planned. The additional week will give the contractor time to test all the electrical systems and remove construction equipment and materials out before the big day.
The start time for the ceremonies remains 9:00am but now it’s one week later. We still plan on having our Knocking Hunger Out of the Park Food Drive during the ceremonies. This just gives our teams more time to collect food.
The postponement to the start of the RGSA season will of course mean the season closing date will move by at least one week. As soon as we have the finalized schedule we will let everyone know.
