Slugger fans I have some cool news.  While surfing the web recently I came across something I had no idea even existed.  I found Sluggers!!!  Sluggers on the other side of the world. Dublin, Ireland to be exact.  It sounds like Sluggers are global.

Now of course the Sluggers Softball team in Roswell, New Mexico isn’t the only Sluggers team around and I’m sure no one thought otherwise. I just didn’t expect to find more Sluggers in Ireland.

Coach Candice and I sent a friendly Sluggers greeting email to the our Irish counterparts just to say hello.  We let them know who we are and that we enjoy knowing the Sluggers family is even bigger than we thought.  We received a very pleasant reply and even an invitation to a friendly game.  So, maybe someday down the line the Roswell Sluggers will get to meet the Dublin Sluggers on the field.  I don’t know how evenly matched a game of ten-year old girls against a team of adults would be but maybe we play in Roswell and let the heat even the playing field.  Either way I’m sure it would be a whole lot of fun.

So, take a look at the Sluggers Softball team in Dublin.  They look like a very cool bunch of ball players.  Checkout where they play – it’s Ireland so it even has grass!  Maybe you can leave them a comment and say hello to our newly discovered extended family and wish them luck on the field – it’s the “Sluggers Way”.  http://www.sluggers-softball.com/

Finding our Ireland family members was so cool, who knows who else is out there. Maybe someday we can have a giant Sluggers Softball tournament/family reunion. – Cool!!
