Last fall was the first time we accepted registrations for players older than 14 years old and there have been more than a few questions on how our 13+ age division works. So, the RGSA board reviewed how last fall’s 13+ division was structured and agreed that dispersing the high school aged players into the existing RGSA teams was the best way to proceed.
The following is the 13+ Age Division outline for this season.
13+ Division: High School Prep Division
– We will take registrations from high school eligible players.
– Those players will be divided up and placed onto existing teams.
– We will NOT have an experienced high school team competing against our 13 and 14 year old players.
– Existing 14U teams and teams moving up from the 12U division will receive high school aged players to fill openings in their existing rosters.
Also, here is a clarification on the RGSA’s term “Open Roster”.
Open Roster:
– The intentions of an open roster are to fill in gaps on existing teams and to not create a new team from scratch.
