Make Baseball Fun

I really like this post. We as coaches and parents need to remember that, yes they are our athletes but, they are our kids first.

muddled musings of a mangled mind

Which way do I run ?
Where do I go from here ?
Tell me which direction
Where do I go from here?
I hit the ball and have to run

Oh..here it comes, what do I do?

  1. thanks for re blogging this. as a former coach….11 years in Canada, and ex competitive player, we need to remember, first it is a game, games are supposed to be fun, and the kids put so much pressure on themselves to do well, it is up to us as coaches and parents to relieve that and make sure they learn and have fun at the same time.

      1. exactly. I have a few more baseball themed poems. I will get them posted as soon as I can. I hope you like them as well. I never coached girls baseball, though I had a few girls on my teams over the years, and I umpired girls softball for about six seasons. best of luck on the upcoming season.
