(R.G.S.A.) Disciplinary Policy

  1. Physical violence, such as an attack on an umpire, tournament official, parent, coach, player, or spectator immediately preceding, during or following a game.
    1. Discipline First Offense-Zero tolerance. Suspension from League for one (1) year.
    1. Discipline Second Offense- Permanent expulsion from League.
  2. Verbal abuse, such as tirades against an umpire, other parents, coaches or any individual involved in game play immediately preceding, during or following a game, use of profanity or inappropriate language at any time.
    1. Discipline First Offense- Official Letter of Suspension from the League. Letter shall include a three (3) game suspension.
    1. Discipline Second Offense- Official Letter of Suspension from the League. Letter shall include a five (5) game suspension and a warning that a third offense results in a penalty of suspension from League for one (1) year.
    1. Discipline Third Offense- Official Letter of Suspension from the League. Suspension from the League for one (1) year.
  3. Unsportsmanlike conduct or any derogatory acts on or off the playing field.
    1. Discipline First Offense- Official Letter of Suspension from the League. Letter shall include a one (1) game suspension.
    1. Discipline Second Offense- Official Letter of Suspension from the League. Letter shall include a three (3) game suspension.
    1. Discipline Third Offense- Official Letter of Suspension. Suspension from League for one (1) season.
  4. Any ejection from a game by an umpire (other than player).
    1. Immediate Action: Removal from field area and out of sight and sound of umpire. No further contact by ejected party from team including post-game activities.
    1. Discipline First Offense- Official Letter of Suspension from the League. Letter shall include one (1) game suspension.
    1. Disciplinary Second Offense- Official Letter of Suspension from the League. Letter shall include a three (3) game suspension.
    1. Discipline Third Offense- Official Letter of Suspension from the League. Suspension from League for one (1) season.
  5. Use of alcohol, tobacco or other controlled substances at the playing fields and up to the parking lot.
    1. Discipline First Offense- Official Written Warning from the League. Written warning that second offense results in suspension from League for one (1) season. 
    1. Discipline Second Offense- Official Letter of Suspension from the League. Suspension from League for one (1) season.
    1. Discipline Third Offense- Official Letter of Suspension from the League. Suspension from League for one (1) year.
  6. Theft/Destruction of property belonging to another.
    1. Discipline First Offense- Official Letter of Suspension form the League. Suspension from League for one (1) year.
    1. Discipline Second Offense- Official Letter of Suspension form the League. Suspension from League for one (1) year and warning that third offense is permanent expulsion from League.
    1. Discipline Third Offense- Official Letter of Suspension from the League. Permanent expulsion from League.
  7. Commission of Fraud, such as playing under assumed name, falsifying affidavit or roster or giving false information to RGSA.
    1. Discipline First Offense- Official Letter of Suspension from the League. Suspension from League for one (1) year.
    1. Discipline Second Offense- Official Letter of Suspension from the League. Suspension form League for one (1) year and warning that third offense is permanent ouster from League.
    1. Discipline Third Offense- Official Letter of Suspension from the League. Permanent expulsion from League.
  8. Failure to abide by Parent Contract.
    1. Discipline First Offense- Official Letter of Suspension from the League. Suspension from League for one (1) season.
    1. Discipline Second Offense- Official Letter of Suspension from the League. Suspension from League for one (1) year.
    1. Discipline Third Offense- Official Letter of Suspension from the League for two (2) years.
  9. Carrying of weapons of any kind, such as but not limited to knifes and firearms.
    1. Discipline First Offense- Zero tolerance. Suspension from League for one (1) year.
    1. Discipline Second Offense- Permanent expulsion from League.
  10. Dogs on Property.
    1. Discipline First Offense- Official Letter of Suspension from the League. Letter shall include a one (1) game suspension.
    1. Discipline Second Offense- Official Letter of Suspension from the League. Letter shall include a three (3) game suspension.
    1. Discipline Third Offense- Official Letter of Suspension from the League. Letter shall include a five (5) game suspension.
